The new EU regulation “DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act)” must be implemented by all companies in the financial sector (in particular all banks) by 17 Jan 2025.

Contracts with ICT service providers (examples include nearly all banks and insurance companies) require validation against DORA Article 30 requirements. This process can sometimes involve hundreds of contracts per enterprise, which must be checked at great time and expense.

What do I need to operate Creance?

Creance can be operated in a proprietary data center (GPUs required), hosted as a service with one of our many partners in a cloud or hybrid setup.

What kind of integrations and interfaces are supported?

Creance is an end-to-end compliance solution offering an easy-to-use web interface to upload documents requiring compliance-checks. Integrations to relevant systems for bulk operations will be available soon.

Where can I find the technical details on how Creance works?

Who can use Creance?

Creance is optimized for internal compliance teams and regulators. However, every legal professional who runs compliance checks will benefit from Creance.

How does Creance ensure data privacy and security?

Creance adheres to PwC Germany and Aleph Alpha’s strict data security standards. Independent of the several deployment options (self-hosted, hosted with partner or cloud), we follow a fully-sovereign approach. Therefore, only your company gets access to your instance of Creance including the underlying machine learning models processing your data as well as any data stored in the system.

When will Creance be available for other legal or organizational frameworks?

The first use case solved by popular demand is DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act). However, we’re already working on adding further frameworks and look forward to receiving your suggestions. Our setup works for all kinds of compliance challenges and can already start providing value to prepare your organization.

Can Creance technology be used for classified and highly regulated problems?

Yes. Creance is based on Aleph Alpha’s sovereign GenAI technology. This makes it applicable for most critical environments. We have a long-standing experience of working with regulators and government institutions and, Stanford University has recently validated our exceptional transparency in their Foundational Model Transparency index.

Can Creance learn while it’s in use?

Yes. Our human-machine interaction design constantly learns from the feedback your compliance specialists provide while using the system. In line with our sovereign approach and to ensure data privacy and security, this learning only happens within your own installation.

Will new insights, interpretations, legal decisions and publications be included?

The system is updated whenever new regulations require for it or, Creance experts add helpful information. Users can also add additional insights and interpretations on the fly.

Can Creance be integrated with general purpose GenAI chatbots
(e.g. ChatGPT, Claude)?

No. Creance is an expert AI system specifically trained to identify and verify compliance relevant passages in contracts. General purpose AI is not helpful for such tasks and should therefore not be used due to data privacy and security reasons.

Can Creance be fine-tuned for customer data?

Creance has been fine-tuned with high-quality data provided by PwC Germany and its experts and therefore, should cover all relevant compliance specifications. However, if you deal with highly specialized contracts, we offer a human annotation tool that can be used to create custom training data and fine-tune custom models.

Can open-source AI models be used within Creance?

Yes. Besides Aleph Alpha’s own models, you can already use Llama3 and further open-source models will be available shortly.
